food

there are some food that i can’t resist. put a plate of it in front of me.. and they’d all disappear. here’s a list of them, not in order of preference.
1. soft, buttery, open top pineapple tarts
2. good char siew bao, the bun is soft and fluffy, the char siew is fragrant and melty with a good mix of fatty and lean meat. (like the one at the hawker centre near my parents place made by old men at their stall)
3. good gyoza, better yet, homemade gyozas.
4. my grandma’s homemade popiah and kueh pie ti
5. my grandma’s homemade nian gao
6. my grandma’s fried tofu
7. my grandma’s zhu bi png
8. my grandma’s assam pedas/prawns/fish
9. my grandma’s pork balls and cabbage soup.
10. my grandma’s ngoh hiang
okay.. so i guess i can’t resist my grandmas cooking. they are really awesome cooks and everyone of you reading this is mising out. unless you’re related to me, then it don’t count. not much of a list after all. 3 that can be bought and searched for, the other 7, i’ll have to wait and eat my fill the next time i go home to them.
